I am glad we had time enough for our sisterly transatlantic phone calls before you left this life too early because still had much to give not only to your family, but also as an educator of adults and adolescents. At home in both English and German, you taught them well and they were thankful. Our conversations about teaching and learning meant a lot to me--you taught not only the subject but the whole human being. You had much to give and you gave it well.
